Historic Textiles are made of delicate materials which make them vulnerable and need to be protected for generations to come.

Besides the natural degradation processes, fluctuations in temperature and humidity, ultra-violet light, daylight and IR-radiation, pollution, infestations, wrong handling and neglect, they all contribute to a faster structural deterioration of the textile artefact.

Historic Textile Conservation is committed to promote public awareness and appreciation of the cultural heritage. HTC offers a wide range of conservation techniques, preventive and active, to prolong the lifespan of textile artefacts for our future generations to enjoy. This mission is carried out assisted by ECCO (European Confederation of Conservator-Restorers' Organisations) Guidelines of Practice.
